VG Archive Show: Cam Glosser

Welcome to the newest virtual exhibition from the Octagon Gallery. I first saw Cam Glosser's artwork in 2018 at 3rd on 3rd Gallery in Jamestown, NY. I was moved by the photographic complexity of his extreme views to parts of the world that many of us will never experience. His body of work challenged my dreams to climb mountains and canyons to see these sites for myself. Instead I chose to bring Cam Glosser to the Octagon Gallery for our patrons to see for themselves just how talented this young man is. Come discover, dream and explore this beautiful world of his and envision yourself along the journey. Cam Glosser

Sea to Sky is a compilation of my work and more broadly, my experiences, from the last several years.
It’s been a period of highs and lows, self-reflection, and intense personal growth. I’ve found that at the
most critical points along the way, I’ve had my camera beside me. Travel, time in the outdoors, and
photographing these stunning landscapes are more than a hobby. It’s more than a vacation, a break
from the mundane. To me, these experiences are therapy. They are the purest expressions of joy in my
life, the moments when I feel the most whole, and the most myself. I have traveled to these places to
share love, to grieve, and to find peace in a chaotic world. Most of all, in these places I have found
myself. That is why to me, travel and photography are so much more than a hobby. They are the key to
happiness, the path to inner peace. I hope that throughout this exhibit, which takes you from the
beaches along the Pacific, to the desert in Utah, to the dazzling heights of Banff and Yosemite, you can
catch a glimpse of the adventure, the peace, and the joy that these places have brought me."
